I just finished reading The Nymph King by Gena Showalter. WOW. i managed to finish it in 2 days.

One word to describe the book and it will be SPLENDID !!!
I'm falling heads over heals for it.

As usual, i like to keep an eye on any nice quotes i come across in a book. This book never fail me. It has lots & lots & lotssss of sweet & 'sweet' quotes.

Here goes...

The whole story is smooth. When i thoght Shaye will not escape, she did the unexpected and finally got punished. HAH! The punishment is totally one of a kind. Woot.
I love the amusing conversations Shaye and Valerian had. They never fail to make me grin foolishly.
Shaye is so witty while Valerian is so seductive.

Finally, Cadeon's story is up. Ever since his first appearance in Wicked deeds on a winter's night, i've been wondering what he and Rdystrom will be faring. Since, he was actually interested in a witch who is the true mate of a lykae.

[I am actually quite terrified for a demon as they only realised who is their true mate through mating. Hell! Imagine...they are immortals and they only have one mate in a lifetime... in this lifetime, how many sex partners must they have? eek. That is torturing...erm, maybe not. Who knows?]

Back to what i was saying earlier...
he later reappeared in Dark needs at night's edge. Doing what? Killed Conrad's bride - Neomi. I really pitied Cade. He is always at the wrong place at the wrong time making the wrong decision taking the wrong actions.

Who knows... he was actually secretly in love and have been spying his mate of his lifetime for a year - Holly.
A phd student, a mathematician, and a human.

A immortal cannot have a human as his mate.

Not knowing until Holly was kidapped by demons, ordered assasination by vampires did he found out that she is a halfling - half valkyrie half human and an important one to claim. And he is what he needs to complete his mission. To repent for his mistake 900 years ago, for losing his brother's crown, he needs to give up his one and only mate to an evil sorcerer to obtain a weapon required to reclaim his brother's lost crown.

How is he supposed to do? He had given his word...he chose to crown before mate in the previous book. But saying is easier than doing it. Can he succeed? or will fate do him in once again?

Never expected a geek - Holly to be the main character. I like Cadeon simply because he is always in a tight situation. In Wicked Deeds, he half hearted pursued a witch and got hurt. Failed to attempt a witch and lose the fight with a lykae. Killed a vampire's wife accidentally when the vampire can actually provide them with the method to dispose the evil socerer.Failed his brother by losing the crown...i thought he was such a failure...
 What good can he do, it kept me thinking...? He was nicknamed the n'ver do well one. And at that point of time, i deeply believe so. This is what he attracts me.

I truely love his brother - Rdystrom. He is honest, logical and without a doubt royal kingly. Thus, i will think if Cade will disappoint him again. History repeats.

In Dark desires, he blow my mind away. He proved me wrongly many a times, when i thought he will escape with Holly and throw everything else behind, he moved forward. Harden his heart, finding other ways to solve.. complimenting both - achieve his heart most felt desires and relinquish his guilt.

As usual, very intense love, hot hot hot opposite sexual attractions. Expected from our great Ms. Kresley Cole.

Can't wait to read the next book. By the time i finish this book review, i have most probably finish Kiss of the Demon King. =D

Not to mention. I will give ♥♥♥♥♥ for this book.

Ohhhh Dear Dear Dear...

Spotted CHARLAINE HARRIS'S SOOKIE STACKHOUSE NOVEL - DEAD UNTIL DARK today. I'm hooked. =)
Stood there reading for 4 pages and I simply don't want to move an inch. Not until anata found me. HEHEHE. Before i found the book, i was conscientously searching for all the remaining Dark-hunter novels that i am still lacking.

Wanted to get my hands on that book but was so determined before entering Kinokuniya that I will NOT buy any book...not until i finished reading all the books i purchased over the past few months.

Left Veil of midnight (3/4 way through), Dance with the devil, Acheron (will have to wait until i finish another 7 novel in this series), Black Dagger Brotherhood's companion guide (half way through Rhage's interview), Stone of tears (halfway through)... omg... 5 more..=.=

3/4 can't wait after i saw Charlaine Harris's 7 novels in a pack. OF SUPER VALUE
TOTALLY simple can't wait anymore afer i read the reviews online.

I am stuck to Horror novels.
For what i feel, it's not exactly of horror content but rather paranormal romance + WAR.

I will definitely get the value pack next week since anata promised to get it as Vday gift. Hehehe

This is the first book of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. They are 7 vampires grouped together protecting the vampire race against the Omega and it's creation - the lessers.
Black Dagger Brotherhood - Wrath, Rhage, Zsadist, Tohrment, Vishous, Phury, Darius (Dead)
It takes place in Caldwell, New York.
Beth who is born a human/vampire. Wrath the last pure breed (king and leader) of the race and brotherhood. He was asked to assist Beth to go through the transition period (from human to vampire) by his passed away comrade, Darius (who is also Beth's father). At the same time, Wrath is determined to find out the killer of Darius. I prefer to call them brothers although their age are different. They are like brothers. Very close relationship. Just imagine, fighting back to back with one another for centuries.


The lesser who are the bad guys here, can be killed by plunging the dagger specially made by Vishous into their heart. They will like poof and disintegrate & returnto their master - Omega.
Lesser are despicable. They torture and mutilate vampire civilians. They are walking deads with no heart. And they smelled like granny. LOL

Wrath has no wish to be the king nor to fall in love with a human or rather a female. He just determined to be a warrior, to fight against the lessers for the race due to his weakness in the past. (for what i think he is thinking too much. He is a hero to me no matter what happened in his pre-transition period.) However, upon meeting Beth, there is something ...perhaps chemistry between them. It happened too quickly. Even until now, i could not figure out what makes them fall in love. I guess it just love. There is no reason in love.

It is a very intense romance book and of course there are also serious fighting taking place between the lessers and the vampires. For one moment, i thought there will be more than one hero dead in a single book.

For what i feel, it is more vulgar and of more sexual content as compared to Twilight. I will do this comparison is because Twilight is the first romance book I ever had my hands touched on. I know it's unfair to Twilight as it is more of a young adult genre.

Overall, it's a terrific book. I simply can't get enough of BDB. Therefore, i went on and finished all six books.... and the companion book (still reading this though.)


I will give ♥♥♥♥♥ for this book.
